From Shin-Osaka Station or Osaka Station, take the Kounodori Limited Express for approximately 150 minutes and get off at JR Yabu Station. Then, take the Zendan Bus bound for "Akene" or "Shizen Gakkou Mae" for about 50 minutes. Transfer at the "Ooya" bus stop and take the bus bound for "Oku Wakasugi" for about 10 minutes. Get off at the "Ten-taki-guchi" bus stop. It's a 60-minute walk from there to Ten-taki Falls. Show route

The parking lot is located at the entrance to the Tenryu Gorge. Restrooms are available at the parking lot and along the trail. Parts of the trail are steep, so we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Also, please be aware that there is a possibility of encountering bears, so carrying a bell or similar noise-making device is recommended.
Ten-taki Falls, located in Yabu City, Hyogo Prefecture, is a 98-meter-high waterfall renowned for its majestic beauty, and is counted as one of the "Three Famous Waterfalls of Tajima." Situated in a valley carved by the Ten-taki River, originating from Mount Hino, its name is said to come from the magnificent way the water seems to pour down from the heavens. The path to Ten-taki Falls is a hiking trail along the stream, approximately 1.2km (about a 45-minute one-way hike). Along the way, you'll encounter various waterfalls of different sizes, including Fufu-taki, Tsuzumi-taki, and Ito-taki, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience. Near Ten-taki Falls, you'll find the Ten-taki Park Campground, perfect for camping enthusiasts.
Ten-taki Falls has long been a subject of religious reverence, with legends even suggesting that Kobo Daishi (Kukai) practiced asceticism there. The area surrounding Ten-taki Falls is also covered in beech and cedar forests, ideal for a refreshing forest bath experience.
