From Osaka and Kobe: Take the All Butsu Express Bus, the Yumechiyo-go, for approximately 3 hours. Get off at the Fukuoka Hachi Kita-guchi bus stop. Then, take a 10-minute taxi ride.
From Yoka Station (JR West Japan Sanin Line): Take the All Butsu Bus bound for Muraoka, Akioka, and Yumura Onsen for 35 minutes. Get off at the Fukuoka Hachi Kita-guchi bus stop. Then, take a 10-minute taxi ride.
From Yumura Onsen: Take the All Butsu Bus bound for Yoka Station for 25 minutes. Get off at the Fukuoka Hachi Kita-guchi bus stop. Then, take a 10-minute taxi ride.
From Kinosaki Onsen Station and Toyooka Station: Take the Yume Tajima Tourist Bus "Tajima Waru" Line 2, Mountain Course, for 45-55 minutes. Get off at the Tajima Highland Botanical Garden stop (4 round trips per day on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays in October). You can also access it from Fukuoka Hachi Kita-guchi. Show route

As the park is a natural botanical garden, it does not have barrier-free facilities. For the safety of wheelchair users, we regretfully must decline entry.
The Tajima Highland Botanical Garden is a municipal botanical garden located in Kamicho, Mikata-gun, Hyogo Prefecture. Designated as part of the Hino-yama, Ushiroyama, and Nagiyama Quasi-National Park, it's situated at an elevation of 680 meters in the Torokawa-hira wetland, a haven of springs. Established on June 15, 1997, and ranked #1 in Hyogo Prefecture's Top 100 Tourist Sites, this garden offers a rejuvenating escape where you can connect with nature.
Highlights include the over 1,000-year-old "Waike no Ookatsura" (Great Katsura Tree of Waike) and "Sennen-sui" (Millennium Water), selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Famous Waters (Heisei Period). The "Waike no Ookatsura" is a must-see symbol of the garden, its ancient presence evoking a sense of awe and the power of nature.
