A nature-filled park where you can enjoy the grazing Tajima beef cattle and interact with animals!
Hyogo Prefectural Tajima Ranch Park opened in 1994 as a base for promoting and supporting the production of Tajima beef, the world-renowned Wagyu beef from Hyogo Prefecture. Leveraging the abundant natural beauty of Tajima, the park offers a relaxing and enjoyable space for visitors to interact with Tajima cattle, sheep, goats, and nature. The park is divided into three main areas: the Farm Village Area, featuring a visitor center, the Tajima Beef Museum, a petting zoo, and a community center with dining and lodging; the Livestock Area, where you can see and even touch the cattle in display barns and observe farmers tending to their herds; and the Ski Resort Area, which serves as a grazing pasture for Tajima beef cattle in summer and a ski resort in winter. The park covers a total area of 36.2 hectares. Animals at the park include Tajima beef cattle, sheep, goats, and rabbits. Visitors can brush the cattle, participate in animal husbandry experiences, and safely interact with small animals in the petting zoo. To enhance visitor enjoyment, the park hosts over 50 events annually throughout the year. These range from food processing workshops like soba noodle making and chikuwa (fish cake) crafting to seasonal events, including Tajima beef tasting and sheep shearing in spring, somen noodle flowing in summer, the Tajima Beef Festival in autumn, and snow sports events and snow sculpture contests in winter. Tajima Ranch Park is a place to experience the charm of Tajima beef and refresh your mind and body through interactions with nature. We invite you to visit!
