Overview
Kuroi Castle Ruins is a mountain castle ruin located in Kasuga-cho, Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture. Built on the summit of Inoguchiyama Mountain at an elevation of 430 meters, this Sengoku-era castle is said to have been constructed by Akai Naomasa. Known for its strength, it withstood attacks by Akechi Mitsuhide. Remnants of stone walls and enclosures still remain. The castle's extensive domain connected the summit and outposts. Akechi Mitsuhide attacked twice, suggesting the need for a comprehensive defense system encompassing the entire castle town. From the summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of Tamba's abundant natural beauty. Kuroi Castle Ruins is a recommended sightseeing spot for history buffs and nature lovers alike.
