Yurigahara Park is a comprehensive park located in Sapporo's Kita-ku, opening in 1983 (Showa 58). The "World Lily Plaza," created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of His Majesty Emperor Showa's reign, showcases approximately 100 varieties of lilies, serving as the park's iconic symbol.
The park features a diverse collection of "World Gardens," including gardens created in collaboration with Sapporo's sister cities: Portland, Oregon, USA; Munich, Bavaria, Germany; and Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China. Other highlights include a rock garden featuring alpine plants difficult to cultivate in Honshu, and a greenhouse displaying a variety of flowers and plants year-round.
Families can enjoy the Lily Train (a train that circles the park), a park golf course, a gateball court, and a playground.
Yurigahara Park is an urban oasis, offering a chance to reconnect with nature and revitalize your mind and body. Enjoy leisurely strolls while admiring the beautiful flowers of each season, or partake in various sports. Visit Yurigahara Park with your family and friends!
