Overview

Sebira Park is a scenic spot in Ei-cho, Minami-Kyushu City, Kagoshima Prefecture, where you can get an up-close view of the magnificent Mount Kaimon. Ancient pines stand within the park, and the sight of Mount Kaimon framed by these trees is truly picturesque. Mount Kaimon, a 924-meter-high active volcano, is also known as "Satsuma Fuji" because of its beauty. From Sebira Park, you can take in the entirety of Mount Kaimon, a truly awe-inspiring sight. The blue sea and sky stretching out before you are equally captivating. On clear days, you can even see Yakushima Island in the distance, enjoying a breathtaking natural panorama. Sebira Park is not only a place of stunning natural beauty but also a place steeped in history. There is a monument dedicated to Tetsukan and Akiko Yosano, a famous poet couple who visited this place in 1929, allowing you to imagine the scene from that time. At night, the fishing boats' lights illuminate the sea, creating a magical atmosphere quite different from the daytime view.
