Ogawa-no-taki Waterfall, located in Minami-Osumi-cho, Kagoshima Prefecture, is a magnificent waterfall, 46 meters high and 60 meters wide, captivating visitors with its beauty. The emerald green pool shimmers like a jewel, contrasting beautifully with the surrounding lush nature and offering a tranquil escape. A well-maintained walking path of approximately 1.2 kilometers follows the Ogawa River's clear stream leading to the pool. This meticulously crafted path allows you to fully appreciate the abundant natural beauty of the Ogawa River valley, with the gentle murmur of the stream, the greenery of the trees, and the chirping of birds soothing the soul. The waterfall's beauty has been recognized for centuries; it was featured in the *Sankoku Meisho Zue*, a collection of famous places in the Satsuma domain compiled by the Satsuma clan in 1843 during the late Edo period. More recently, it gained popularity after being featured in a Kagoshima Bank calendar in 2013 and the opening sequence of the 2018 Taiga drama *Segodon*. Ogawa-no-taki Waterfall is a highly recommended sightseeing spot where you can experience the grandeur of nature.

Ogawa-no-taki is not accessible by public transportation. A well-maintained walking path leads from the parking lot (70 spaces), but the road along the Ogawa River, near the Minami-Osumi-cho Negoro port, is narrow, so caution is advised. The parking lot has a small cafe and restrooms. Show route
