Access
To reach Shiranuta, you'll drive from the Route 135 in Izu Atagawa, through the Tenjyo Highland villa area. Park near the entrance and begin your walk into the mountains. You'll cross a small stream; however, there's no bridge, so it's best to avoid visiting if the water level is high. The walk is about 20 minutes, with trail markers along the way, but some sections can be a bit tricky to navigate. As you wander, wondering if you're lost, you'll suddenly come face-to-face with the giant cedar. Show route
