Situated within Yoro Park (established by Gifu Prefecture), it's part of the Ibi Sekigahara Yoro Quasi-National Park. It's been selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls and, together with Kikusuien Spring, as one of Japan's Top 100 Famous Waters.
