Kassenkankyou Rakuen is a multifaceted leisure facility in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture, where you can enjoy nature, learn, and have fun. It forms part of the Mihagawa district of the Kiso Three Rivers National Park, with various facilities spread across its vast grounds.
The main attraction is Aqua-Toto Gifu, an aquarium showcasing approximately 200 species of freshwater fish from around the world. The aquarium features tanks replicating rivers from across the globe, including the Kiso Three Rivers, the Amazon, and the Nile, allowing visitors to observe the diverse ecosystems of these fish. There are also hands-on corners where children and adults can touch and feed fish.
Next to the aquarium is the Kiso River Water Garden, which recreates the natural landscape of the Kiso River. Well-maintained walking paths allow visitors to enjoy the flowers and greenery of each season. Public Transportation: Take the Meitetsu Kakamigahara Line to Shin Naga Station or Kakamigahara City Hall-mae Station, then transfer to the Kakamigahara City Fureai Bus Kawashima Line and get off at the "Kassenkankyou Rakuen" bus stop.
From Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line Kasamatsu Station, take the Gifu Bus Kasamatsu-Kawashima Line bound for "Kawashima Matsukura" and get off at the "Kassenkankyou Rakuen" bus stop.
From JR Tokaido Main Line Ogari Ichinomiya Station or Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line Meitetsu Ichinomiya Station, take the Meitetsu Bus Komyoji Line (No. 11 bound for Ichinomiya City General Gymnasium) from the Ichinomiya Station Bus Terminal and get off at the "138 Tower Park" bus stop. It's about a 25-minute walk from there.
Car: Direct access from the Kawashima Parking Area Highway Oasis on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway.
Approximately 20 minutes from the Ichinomiya Kiso River Interchange on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway.
There are three parking lots (Central, East Gate, and West Gate). The East and West Gates may close before the park closes depending on the season. Also, the East and West Gates are located in the Kitahagawa Riverbed and may be closed during periods of high water.
