Yamada Sunflower Garden is a beautiful spot in Miyaki-machi, Miyaki District, Saga Prefecture, where sunflowers bloom profusely in late autumn.
Starting in November, sunflowers planted in the terraced rice paddies in the mountainous area begin to bloom, reaching their peak for about a month.
These sunflowers are planted by the local mountainous area association to make use of the terraced rice paddies.
The vibrant, golden yellow sunflowers have a different charm than summer sunflowers, creating exceptional beauty against the clear autumn sky and the autumn foliage of the surrounding mountains.
Especially on weekends when they are in full bloom, the garden is bustling with camera enthusiasts and tourists, many of whom come to capture the sunflower scenery in photographs.
Also, these late-blooming sunflowers can be enjoyed until around mid-November.
If you're lucky, you might even see the rare sight of sunflowers wearing snow caps on a snowy day.
Yamada Sunflower Garden is the perfect place to visit to feel the arrival of autumn and find beautiful scenery that soothes the soul.
