The Mozu Kofun Tumuli, located in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, is one of the world's largest groups of ancient burial mounds. More than 100 kofun were built between the 4th and 6th centuries, the most impressive being the Nintoku Tenno's mausoleum, a massive keyhole-shaped tumulus stretching an astounding 486 meters. The magnificent scale of the tumuli embodies the power and culture of ancient Japan, captivating visitors with historical romance. Besides the Nintoku Tenno's mausoleum, the site features kofun of various sizes, such as the Misanzai Kofun and Daisen Kofun, each offering insights into the social structures and culture of the time.
