An urban oasis in the heart of Hakata. Perfect for those seeking tranquility, with beautiful seasonal foliage and a peaceful atmosphere.
Overview
Rakusuien Garden is a tranquil haven nestled in the heart of Fukuoka's Hakata Ward. Originally the site of a villa built by a Hakata merchant in the Meiji period, it's now a meticulously maintained pond-style stroll garden. The garden showcases seasonal flora, with cherry blossoms in spring and vibrant autumn foliage. Several tea houses offer the perfect spot to savor matcha while enjoying the serene beauty. Rakusuien is ideal for those seeking respite from the city's bustle. Be sure to visit if you find yourself in Hakata.
