Ohori Park is a vast park covering approximately 398,000 square meters in the heart of Fukuoka City. A pond of about 226,000 square meters forms the centerpiece, surrounded by abundant greenery. Opened in 1929, Ohori Park was created on what was once an inlet of Hakata Bay. The park features a roughly 2-kilometer-long walking path around the pond, a wild bird sanctuary, a children's playground, a Noh theater, a Japanese garden, a central island and a floating teahouse connected by four bridges, and a boathouse. It's used for recreation, leisure, and physical activities. Escape the urban hustle and bustle and enjoy a leisurely stroll or jog. You can also go boating, explore the Japanese garden, or have a picnic.
