The Mogami Yoshiaki Historical Museum is a public museum built by Yamagata City to commemorate the achievements of Mogami Yoshiaki, the warlord who laid the foundation for Yamagata's prosperity. As a Sengoku-era daimyo of Dewa Province, Mogami Yoshiaki expanded his territory through skillful strategy and masterful manipulation of people, and constructed Yamagata Castle.
