Overview
The Seto City New Century Craft Museum, located in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, is a facility dedicated to ceramics and glass crafts. Opened in 1999 to preserve and promote Seto's 1300-year-old ceramic heritage, it comprises three sections: exhibition, exchange, and workshop areas, each offering unique experiences. The exhibition hall showcases traditional Seto-yaki and contemporary glass art. The exchange area features works by trainees, alongside a cafe serving coffee and other drinks in Seto ware. In the workshop section, you can observe trainees creating ceramics and glass art. Hands-on workshops are also available, offering opportunities to try various techniques like pottery wheeling, painting, and glassblowing. The Seto City New Century Craft Museum is a fantastic place to experience the charm of Seto City, ideal for those wanting to engage with traditional culture and try new things.
○ From JR Nagoya Station (approx. 50 minutes):
Take the JR Chuo Line to Osunega, then transfer to the Meitetsu Seto Line and get off at the last stop, Owari-Seto. It's a 7-minute walk southeast from the station.
○ From Nagoya I.C. or Nagakute I.C. (approx. 30 minutes):
Exit the Tomei Expressway at Nagoya I.C. or Nagakute I.C. and head towards Seto. Follow Green Road towards the Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park or Yakusa I.C., turn left (north), and proceed to Seto city center.

Exit the Tokai Ring Road at Seto-Akitsu I.C. and head towards Seto. Show route
