Overview
Ryusōgatake Waterfall is a magnificent 60-meter-high waterfall located in Ikeda-cho, Imadate-gun, Fukui Prefecture, and is one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls.
Its name is said to originate from Ryusōbō, a Buddhist monk who once practiced asceticism nearby.
Water flows across the entire cliff face of Ryusōgatake Waterfall, creating delicate white threads cascading down the moss-covered rock, truly a sight of breathtaking beauty.
You can easily approach the base of the waterfall, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the majestic nature while basking in the abundant negative ions.
Another attraction of Ryusōgatake Waterfall is its ever-changing beauty throughout the four seasons.

The surrounding area offers many other attractions, including a group of potholes located approximately 500 meters downstream from the waterfall.
