Roadside Station Oosumi Yagoro Legend Village is located along National Route 269, which runs through Sono District on the Osumi Peninsula, near the Ikawa city center. The 15-meter-tall Yagoro-don statue is a striking sight. The vast 20-hectare area houses various amenities, including a playground, hot springs, a local product shop, and a restaurant, making it perfect for a relaxing day off.
The facility includes a day-trip onsen (hot spring) facility, "Yagoro no Yu," where you can soothe your tired body. At "Yagoro Noutouka-ichi," the local product shop, you can find the perfect souvenirs. At "Yagoro-tei," the restaurant, you can savor dishes featuring "Yagoro-buta," a local Satsuma Kurobuta (black pig), and other locally sourced ingredients.
With plenty of play equipment for children, this roadside station is a safe and enjoyable destination for families. Be sure to stop by when driving through the Osumi Peninsula.
