Situated at an altitude of approximately 150 meters, the panoramic view of the rice terraces below is simply stunning. Ohiraki's rice terraces are traditional terraces dating back to the Edo period, boasting a history of over 300 years. Various sized terraced fields layer the mountain slopes, creating a beautiful scene that moves all who visit. The scenery changes with the seasons. During rice planting season, a green mirror-like reflection graces the paddies; in autumn, when the rice ripens, a golden carpet unfolds; and in winter, a snowscape appears. You can enjoy the beauty throughout the year. From the observation deck, you can see not only the rice terraces but also the distant mountains and the sky.
