Experience Japan's only complete currency manufacturing line and enjoy the beautiful cherry blossom path, "Hana no Mawarimichi", in the spring.

Overview

Cherry trees were transplanted to the Hiroshima Branch of the Japan Mint from Osaka in 1967. Since 1991, the "Hana no Mawarimichi" has been open to the public during the yaezakura (double cherry blossom) blooming season. The sight of approximately 220 cherry trees of about 60 varieties in full bloom is breathtaking, attracting many visitors each year. You can enjoy a wide variety of cherry blossoms, from early to late bloomers. Various events are also held during the cherry blossom season, making it a lively spot for locals and tourists alike. The Hiroshima Branch of the Japan Mint offers a unique experience: a tour of a currency factory combined with the beauty of cherry blossoms—a truly rewarding destination. Visit the Hiroshima Branch of the Japan Mint in spring and immerse yourself in the beauty of cherry blossoms and Japanese traditional culture.
