Overview
Kōgyū-no-taki Waterfall is a breathtaking waterfall with an approximately 20-meter drop, located in Kamisakada, Taketa City, Ōita Prefecture. Situated upstream of the Inaba River, which flows through Taketa City, the abundant water thunders down into a deep valley. You can fully enjoy the majestic scenery of the waterfall while soaking up plenty of negative ions. The walking path leading to the waterfall's basin is perfect for nature walks, and you can enjoy hiking and trekking. There's also a parking area, restrooms, and rest areas near the waterfall, allowing you to spend your time comfortably. Nearby, you'll find Miyagi Natural Hot Spring - Deai-no-yu, which opened in April 2003, offering the chance to enjoy both the hot springs and the waterfall. Kōgyū-no-taki Waterfall is a recommended sightseeing spot where you can feel the powerful force of nature.
