Take the Kyushu Sangyo Bus bound for Taketate Onsen from Aso Station on the JR Kyushu Hohi Main Line, and get off at the "Yu Station". A 10-minute taxi ride from there. Alternatively, take the Fukuoka - Kurokawa Onsen highway bus from the Nishitetsu Tenjin Highway Bus Terminal or Hakata Bus Terminal and get off at "Yu Station". A 10-minute taxi ride from there. It's just a few minutes' walk from the parking lot to the base of the waterfall. The walking path is well-maintained all the way to behind the waterfall, and walking sticks are available for rent.
