Hiyoshi Park is a lush green park located east of Tokyo Midtown. In the past, it was the site of the Azabu Shimo-yashiki garden of the Mori clan of the Hagi domain, known as "Hiyashiki" (Cypress Mansion) due to its many cypress trees. Its expansive garden, called "Shimizu-tei," was a renowned garden offering stunning views of Edo's cityscape.
The park features a strolling garden surrounding a large pond, where you can enjoy seasonal plants along the walking paths. Cherry blossoms abound in spring, and autumn brings vibrant autumn leaves. There's also a grassy area with playground equipment for children, making it perfect for families. It's a relaxing space where you can feel nature amidst the city, offering a chance to refresh your body and mind.
Hiyoshi Park is a precious oasis that allows you to escape the city's clamor. Be sure to visit when you're in Tokyo Midtown.
