Inage Seaside Park is a vast urban park facing Tokyo Bay, located in Mihama Ward, Chiba City.
Opened in 1977, it was developed with the aim of restoring the natural environment of the former Inage coast, lost due to Tokyo Bay reclamation.
The park features approximately 3km of artificial beaches, "Inagenohama" and "Kenmikawa-no-hama," perfect for swimming and watersports.
"Inagenohama," completed in 1976, was Japan's first artificial beach, followed later by "Kenmikawa-no-hama."
"Inagenohama" is a popular swimming beach, attracting many visitors during the summer.
"Kenmikawa-no-hama" is ideal for watersports like windsurfing and kitesurfing.
The park also boasts a wide range of sports facilities, including baseball fields, tennis courts, and a swimming pool.
Museums include the Chiba City Botanical Garden, the Inage Memorial Hall, and the Inage Civilian Aviation Memorial Hall, each with unique exhibits.
For amusement, there's Pleasure Garden with exciting rides like roller coasters.
Enjoy the changing seasons: cherry blossoms in spring, swimming in summer, and autumn foliage in fall.
Its easy access from the city center makes it a popular and convenient destination.
Recently, the Kenmikawa area of the park has been undergoing renovations as "INAGE SUNSET BEACH PARK," with the opening of glamping and lodging facilities.
Further exciting developments are anticipated in the future.
