Yoshika Park

Yoshika Park is a spacious park at the foot of Iwakuni Castle in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Famous for its cherry blossoms, in spring, approximately 1,000 cherry trees burst into bloom, painting the park in a vibrant pink hue. Nighttime illuminations create a magical atmosphere. Autumn brings stunning autumn foliage, showcasing brilliantly colored trees. The park's convenient location offers easy access to Iwakuni Castle and Kintai Bridge, making it a beloved recreational area enjoyed by many for its seasonal beauty. Yoshika Park's origins trace back to a garden created during the Edo period by Iwakuni feudal lord Kikkawa Hiroie. The extensive grounds feature ponds, waterfalls, and artificial hills, creating a harmonious blend of natural and man-made landscapes.
