Yokosuka Iris Garden

Yokosuka Iris Garden is a municipal park (garden) located in Abegura, Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, managed and operated by the Yokosuka Green Landscaping Cooperative. Covering approximately 3.8 hectares, the garden features a vast iris field of about 7,000 square meters, where around 140,000 irises bloom vibrantly from May to June. The best time to see the irises is from late May to early June, when the garden is awash in a breathtaking array of colors—a true iris paradise. Beyond the iris garden, there's a wisteria garden, a pieris garden, a rose garden, and a water lily pond created from a former irrigation pond, offering diverse floral displays throughout the year. Well-maintained walking paths wind through the garden, inviting leisurely strolls amid the blossoms. Rest areas and a gift shop provide convenient spots for relaxation and refreshments.
