About a 60-minute ride by JR bus from Aomori Station, get off at Hakkoda Ropeway Station. It's about a 10-minute walk from the ropeway's summit park station.

The Hakkoda Gourd Line is a walking trail in Aomori Prefecture that circles Tamadake Marshland from the summit station of Mount Hakkoda.
The approximately 1.8km course starts from the summit station at an elevation of 1,300m and gently descends, taking about an hour to complete.
The well-maintained path makes it easy to stroll in sneakers.
In spring, the melting snow reveals fresh green shoots, creating a breathtaking landscape.
Summer brings a vibrant display of alpine flowers, including skunk cabbage and water lilies.

Winter transforms the landscape into a magical wonderland of snow, perfect for snowshoeing or using *wakan* (traditional snowshoes) for snow trekking.
