Coming from Imajo on the national highway, you can enter the cobblestone street by car. However, coming from Tsuruga, you'll have to make a U-turn, so you can't enter directly. Since the cobblestone street might be a bit tricky to navigate, we recommend parking at the parking lot with restrooms located just off the national highway. To reach it, take a sharp right turn from the Imajo side (or a diagonal left turn from the Tsuruga side). Show route

Itadori Post Town is a former post town located in Minami Echizen-cho, Fukui Prefecture, that once thrived along the Hokuriku Road. Minami Echizen-cho was formerly known as Imajo, and Itadori Post Town was situated just south of it. Developed as a strategically important route by Oda Nobunaga, it prospered as a post town with resident pack horses and foot messengers.
