A breathtaking spot where you can enjoy the arched railway bridge over the Tadami River and the beautiful nature throughout the four seasons!
The Daiichi Tadami River Bridge Viewpoint is a popular sightseeing spot offering a close-up view of the "Daiichi Tadami River Bridge," a particularly popular arched railway bridge on the Tadami Line. The magnificent scenery created by the Tadami River and the surrounding mountains is truly breathtaking! Especially during the autumn foliage season, the mountains are dyed in red and yellow, creating a magical landscape. The bridge was completed in 1938 (Showa 13) and opened to the public in 1941 (Showa 16). It's the only truss arch bridge among the Tadami Line railway bridges over the Tadami River, painted a light purple color, the same as the Paulownia flower, a local specialty of Mishima-machi. From the viewpoint, you can see the bridge from the side, and the sight of the Tadami Line running across it is truly spectacular! It's a stunning viewpoint where you can enjoy the changing scenery throughout the year – the fresh greenery of spring, the lush foliage of summer, the autumn leaves, and the winter snowscape. The beautiful scenery created by the bridge and the surrounding nature captivates many people, making it a popular spot for photography enthusiasts and railway fans. The Tadami Line is a charming line where you can experience the abundant nature and history of the region. Why not visit the Daiichi Tadami River Bridge Viewpoint and experience the harmony of magnificent nature and railway?
