Sakura-toge, located in Kitashiobara Village, Yama District, Fukushima Prefecture, is a vast and renowned cherry blossom viewing spot boasting approximately 3,000 cherry trees in full bloom. Beginning with the planting of 2,001 cherry trees, subsequent plantings have resulted in the current breathtaking spectacle of approximately 3,000 cherry trees. Near the summit of Sakura-toge lies Japan's largest cherry blossom tunnel. A leisurely stroll through the tunnel, surrounded by blossoms in full bloom, will undoubtedly create unforgettable memories and a sense of peace. The best time to view the cherry blossoms at Sakura-toge is from late April to early May. However, bloom times vary yearly, so checking the cherry blossom forecast before your visit is recommended. Access to Sakura-toge is available by car or bus. By car, it takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes via the Bandai-Azuma Skyline.
