15-minute walk from Dazaifu Station on the Nishitetsu Dazaifu Line. 10-minute walk from Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine (via the "Rainbow Tunnel" connecting walkway). From JR Kagoshima Main Line Futsukaichi Station, take the Nishitetsu Bus Futsukaichi (1-2) bound for Dazaifu and get off at the Kyushu National Museum bus stop, a 3-minute walk from there.
