Parking will be available at a temporary riverside parking lot (for standard-sized vehicles only) from March 29th (Fri) to April 11th (Thu) during the Oogawara Cherry Blossom Festival. The fee is ¥500 per vehicle.
Shiroishi Riverbank, Hitome Senbonzakura (Thousand Cherry Trees at a Glance) is a renowned cherry blossom viewing spot in Tohoku, featuring approximately 1,200 cherry trees in full bloom along the Shiroishi River embankment in Shibata-machi, Shibata-gun, Miyagi Prefecture. This cherry blossom avenue was originally planted by local residents to commemorate the completion of river improvement works on the Shiroishi River in the Taisho era.
