Kakegawa Kachoen

Overview

Kakegawa Kachoen is a theme park in Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture, centered around flowers and birds. Within the park is a large greenhouse called "Hishou Kukan" (Flight Space) where approximately 1,000 birds fly freely. The sight of various bird species, such as toco toucans, parrots, and flamingos, spreading their wings and flying right before your eyes is breathtaking. The greenhouse is also filled with tropical plants, giving you the feeling of being in a jungle. The bird feeding experience is also popular, allowing you to interact with the birds up close. Next to the large greenhouse is a garden called "Hana Kukan" (Flower Space) where flowers bloom in every season. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery throughout the year, from cherry blossoms in spring, hydrangeas in summer, and autumn foliage in fall.
