Overview

Kibagata Park is a sprawling urban park in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, built around Lake Kibagata. Lake Kibagata, along with Lake Shibayamagata and the now-reclaimed Lake Imaegata, were once known as the Kaga San-ko (Three Lakes of Kaga). However, due to land reclamation, Lake Imaegata disappeared, and Lake Shibayamagata is now largely land. Lake Kibagata remains, preserving its original vegetation. As a result, various birds can be spotted along the shores and in the lake itself. The waterside scenery of Lake Kibagata is designated as one of Ishikawa's 100 Natural Landscapes, featuring reeds, common bulrush, and a mix of other plants like water lilies and Canadian pondweed. To the southeast, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Hakusan, Ishikawa's highest peak. The park features well-maintained walking paths and cycling roads, perfect for leisurely strolls or invigorating exercise. Spring brings a stunning display of cherry blossoms, painting the lakeshore in shades of pink. Autumn offers equally beautiful foliage, showcasing the park's diverse beauty throughout the year. The park also boasts children's playgrounds, barbecue areas, and cafes, making it a perfect destination for families. The spectacular views of Mount Hakusan are sure to captivate all visitors. Kibagata Park is a highly recommended tourist spot for connecting with nature and refreshing both body and mind. Visit Kibagata Park and immerse yourself in its majestic nature and beautiful scenery.
