Jintokyo Gorge, located in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture, is a magnificent V-shaped gorge carved over many years by the Jinto River. The Jinto River is one of Toyama Prefecture's major rivers, nourishing the Toyama Plain before flowing into Toyama Bay. Jintokyo Gorge is a breathtaking valley formed by the river's long-term erosion. The charm of Jintokyo Gorge lies in its diverse scenery. The Ioriya Toge Observatory is famous as an excellent spot to get a panoramic view of Jintokyo Gorge. From the observatory, you can see not only the entire gorge but also the distant mountains. Jintokyo Gorge is perfect for driving and hiking. National Route 41 winds its way through the gorge, offering magnificent views. Well-maintained walking paths are also available for hikers.
