A vast park with 2,000 cherry blossoms in full bloom, offering breathtaking panoramic views!
Heirawahara Park is a park in Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture, where you can enjoy the magnificent natural beauty. 2,000 cherry trees are planted throughout the park, making it a popular spot for hanami (cherry blossom viewing) in spring. The "Sakura Matsuri" (Cherry Blossom Festival), held from late March to early April, is particularly enchanting, with lanterns illuminating the park at night, creating a magical atmosphere. From the observation deck, you can enjoy stunning views: the Kii Channel to the west, Yoshino-Kumano National Park to the south, and the mountain range of Kumano Sanzenroppyaku (3,600 peaks) to the east. The park's beauty changes with the seasons, showcasing cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage in fall. Well-maintained walking paths allow for leisurely strolls, and ample parking makes it easily accessible by car. Be sure to visit Heirawahara Park when you're in Shirahama Town.
