Shizuka Summit Furusato Park is located in Naka City, Ibaraki Prefecture. It was created in 1965 by then-Naka District, Urare-machi on a hilly area near Shizuka Shrine. It was expanded in 1970, and since 1988, playground facilities, a water stage, and a waterfowl pond have been developed as part of the "Hometown Development Special Measures Project. Approximately 2,000 cherry trees are planted throughout the park, with weeping cherry blossoms being particularly famous. The peak bloom is from late April to early May. Selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots, the park offers a breathtaking view of spring. In addition to cherry blossoms, the park also features plums, Someiyoshino cherry blossoms, azaleas, hydrangeas, and lespedeza, offering seasonal beauty throughout the year. There's also a leisure facility called "Shidori no Sato" with bathing facilities, perfect for a relaxing time. Shizuka Shrine is also adjacent, so you might consider visiting both. Shizuka Summit Furusato Park is a highly recommended spot for connecting with nature and refreshing your mind and body.
