A beautiful museum showcasing the harmonious blend of a historical building and contemporary art.
Overview
The Hirosaki Brick Warehouse Museum is an art museum renovated from a Meiji-era brick warehouse. The juxtaposition of the warehouse's weighty atmosphere and contemporary art creates a space that transports visitors to a fascinating world. The exhibition halls, designed to make the most of the warehouse's structure, offer a mix of open, naturally lit spaces and more intimate, subdued areas, enhancing the art on display. A diverse range of works are exhibited, including contemporary art, photography, and special exhibitions. The museum is conveniently located in the heart of Hirosaki City, surrounded by historical landmarks such as Hirosaki Castle and Hirosaki Park, making it an ideal spot for a stroll.
