Otsu Lakeside Nagisa Park is a city park located on the shores of Lake Biwa in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. This long, slender park stretches 4.8km. Completed in September 1998, it's developed into six distinct areas, including numerous sports and cultural facilities. The park features various areas such as an event plaza, Utsugi no Mori (Utsugi Forest), Nagisa Promenade, Citizen Plaza, Sunshine Beach, and Zeze-Seiran no Michi (Zeze-Seiran Path), offering opportunities for leisurely strolls, jogging, and cycling. Sunshine Beach, in particular, is a spacious area with a sandy beach extending from the Omi-Ohashi Bridge to Citizen Plaza, lined with pine trees, creating a picturesque scene of white sand and green pines. Citizen Plaza, situated on a point extending into the lake, boasts the best views in the park.
