Yohashira Jinja Shrine enshrines four deities: Amenominakanushi-no-kami, Takamimusubi-no-kami, Kamimusubi-no-kami, and Amaterasu-omikami. Locally known and loved as "Shinto-san," it's a relatively new shrine, founded in 1874 (Meiji 7), but famous for granting wishes, especially for matchmaking, business prosperity, and academic success. The grounds are not expansive, but offer a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere perfect for a quiet visit. Nearby attractions include Matsumoto Castle, Nawate-dori shopping street, the Matsumoto branch of Hachijubankin, and the Matsumoto City Clock Museum, making it an ideal stop when sightseeing around Matsumoto Castle.
