Kasuzu High-Rise Park is located on a portion of the Kasuzu Heights, a fiercely contested area during the Battle of Okinawa. Within the park, you can find remnants of the battle, including pillboxes and trenches, offering a stark reminder of the war's devastation. The pillboxes, reinforced concrete defensive structures, feature firing slits. The trenches, carved into limestone, allow visitors to imagine the harsh conditions faced by soldiers.
