Manzamo is one of Okinawa's main island's most spectacular scenic spots. The approximately 20-meter-high cliff, formed over many years from uplifted coral reefs, is characterized by a rock formation that resembles an elephant's trunk. This unique rock formation is said to have been named "Manzamo" by a former Ryukyu King, Shokei, who praised it as a place where "ten thousand people can sit." A spacious lawn area sits atop the cliff, offering panoramic views of the East China Sea. The blue sea and white sandy beach stretching out before you are a true tropical paradise. Sunset is particularly breathtaking, with the beautiful contrast between the orange sky and the sea creating a truly unforgettable experience. Manzamo boasts excellent facilities, including parking, shops, and observation decks. Other tourist attractions, such as Manza Beach and Busena Marine Park, are also located nearby. Manzamo is a highly recommended spot to visit when exploring the northern part of Okinawa's main island.
