Suwahara Castle, located in Suruga-ku, Shizuoka City, is the site of a castle once built by Tokugawa Ieyasu. In 1590, when Ieyasu entered Sunpu Castle, he constructed Suwahara Castle to defend Sunpu. After the Meiji Restoration, it was abandoned and is now a well-maintained park.
