Overview
Gongenmori Beach, located in Uchinada-machi, Ishikawa Prefecture, is a naturally abundant, shallow-water beach surrounded by green hills and blue skies.
This beach, facing the Sea of Japan, is known for its calm waves and beautiful scenery, making it popular with families and couples.
The shallow water makes it safe for young children to play in.
Behind the beach is a habitat for Japanese rose (hamanas), with their fragrant red flowers, and seaside violet (isosumi-re), with their delicate purplish-blue blooms. This area is protected as a designated municipal cultural asset.
The sight of these flowers in full bloom is truly breathtaking.
While bustling with beachgoers in the summer, it offers a quiet and peaceful atmosphere during the off-season.
In addition to swimming, we recommend taking a stroll along the sandy beach or trying your hand at clam digging (shiohigari).
With nearby onsen (hot springs) and restaurants, you can enjoy a full day of fun.
Gongenmori Beach is a truly relaxing space where you can connect with nature and refresh your mind and body.
We highly recommend a visit.
