The Gozaisho Ropeway offers stunning views of the majestic Suzuka mountain range. Enjoy an aerial ride and spend a special time at the summit!
The Gozaisho Ropeway connects Yuyama Onsen in Komono Town, Mie Prefecture, to the summit (9th station) of Mount Gozaisho, the main peak of the Suzuka Mountains. Opened on April 29, 1959, it celebrates its 64th anniversary this year. The Gozaisho Ropeway's unique feature is its double-track automatic circulation system, one of only two in Japan. This ensures gondolas are constantly running, minimizing wait times and providing a smooth ride. During your aerial journey, you'll enjoy views of Yuyama Onsen town, Komono and Yokkaichi cities, the Ise Plain, and Ise Bay. From the gondola, you can also spot the unique rock formations and serow (Japanese mountain antelope) of Mount Gozaisho. To reach the summit of Mount Gozaisho, you can take a lift from the ropeway mountaintop park station (about 8 minutes) or hike. During winter, the Gozaisho Ski Resort at the summit is open. The Gozaisho Ropeway is a memorable tourist spot where you can connect with nature and enjoy magnificent scenery. Experience the breathtaking views of the Suzuka Mountains by riding the Gozaisho Ropeway!
