Sumiyoshi Shrine

Overview

Sumiyoshi Shrine is a historic shrine located in the heart of Yamaguchi City. It has long been revered as a deity for safe voyages and bountiful catches. Founded in the early Heian period, its shrine buildings were reconstructed in the Edo period.
