Overview
Jindai Botanical Garden is Tokyo's only botanical garden, located in Chofu City. Opened in 1961, it has been a beloved spot for many years. The garden features approximately 4,800 species and 100,000 plants, offering a stunning display of flowers throughout the seasons. The rose garden, in particular, is renowned for its beauty, having received the Award of Garden Excellence from the World Federation of Rose Societies. During the spring and autumn rose festivals, the vibrant blooms are truly breathtaking. Beyond the rose garden, you'll find plum, cherry blossom, and azalea gardens, among other diverse plant collections. A large greenhouse showcasing tropical and subtropical plants and an aquatic plant garden offer opportunities to encounter rare and unusual species. The garden also hosts exhibitions and events related to plants, providing educational opportunities. For instance, there are exhibits on plant ecology and utilization, as well as workshops on planting and plant care. Jindai Botanical Garden is a tranquil oasis, offering a space for relaxation and rejuvenation. Escape the city bustle and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the natural world.
