INFO
Please be aware that some roads leading to the park are narrow and may be difficult to pass oncoming vehicles. Parking is free. However, there are no cafes or restaurants on site, so we recommend bringing a packed lunch.
Muro Art Forest is a space conceived by sculptor Dani Karavan where nature and art merge. The vast grounds feature Karavan's representative monuments scattered throughout, with their placement taking advantage of the natural terrain, which amazes visitors. The monuments incorporate natural elements such as light, wind, and water flow, changing their appearance depending on the time of day and season. The appeal lies in being able to enjoy a dialogue with the works of art while strolling through the park. It was also once the site of Muro-ji Temple's inner sanctuary, and a unique atmosphere of history and nature pervades the area. Access is a bit inconvenient, but as a result, a quiet and peaceful environment is maintained, making it ideal for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle and spend some time relaxing. It's a perfect place not only for art lovers but also for those who want to be healed by nature.
