Sakamoto is also home to stone walls built using the "Anata-zumi" technique, a traditional stone stacking method developed in northern Shiga Prefecture. Known for its unique beauty, Anata-zumi is designated as an Important Cultural Property. When exploring Sakamoto, be sure to pay attention to these Anata-zumi stone walls.
