Naoie Ii was the first feudal lord of the Hikone domain, and Eienji served as the family temple for the Ii clan. His mausoleum sits quietly in a corner of the grounds. Take the Ohmi Railway Main Line (Koto-Omi Line, Minakuchi-Gamo Line) or the Ohmi Railway Yokaichi Line (Manyo Akane Line) to Yokaichi Station. From there, take an Ohmi Railway bus (bound for Eienji Bus Depot) for 35 minutes and get off at the Eienji-mae stop. Alternatively, it's a 20-minute drive from the Yokaichi IC on the Meishin Expressway, near National Route 421. Show route
